Active in April:
The Peter McVerry Trust and DASH have teamed up to bring you this event, adding some much-needed excitement to the month of April. The days are brighter, the weather is wonderful; let’s all get active outdoors and raise funds for an amazing cause!
Set your own challenge in April, experience the great outdoors, while enjoying delicious coffee in the process (thank you Dash!). All sign-ups will receive a limited-edition Active in April with PMVT & DASHERS to the rescue t-shirt, and a coffee at DASH Container every Sunday in April; what’s not to love?
Community Coffee Mornings
Every Sunday morning between 10am and 12pm DASH will give our community a platform to raise money for any community-based good cause.
We will help raise awareness for these causes with all donations between 10am and 12pm every Sunday to go towards the week’s chosen cause.
This Week's Cause
Stoneybatter Community Defibrillator:
The defibrillator is housed in an old telephone box and to use it, someone simply gets the access code from the local Gardai (contact number on the door of the defib) and then the actual defib itself is like a smart device – it literally talks the person through how to operate it. A real life saving piece of kit.
Why do we need ongoing support? Well with all things like this, there are running costs – so we need to cover costs for upkeep and maintenance, CCTV monitoring, and electricity cost is about €600 and there are also costs for upkeep to the box itself (unfortunately it has been vandalised with graffiti in the past year).
We would like to invite you to get involved by nominating your worthy cause. This may be a local kid’s football club, awareness for mental health, school fundraiser, a helping hand to rescued pets. We are open for suggestions!
